Saturday Snacks

In a small corner of the building formerly occupied by McDonalds you can find a little bakery named Babycakes. Originally established in NYC in 2005, this bakery is known for its hand mixed batches from all natural ingredients. Their bakes treats are gluten free, dairy free, soy free and vegan.

I spent a wonderful afternoon in Liberty Square on Thursday (6/9/11). It was a normal 90 degree day in Florida, so my husband was ready for a drink. The Liberty Square Market offers a great variety of healthy choices, along with the hot dogs and soda. On line to pay for my water and Gatorade I stopped this strange sign.

If you have not guessed, I love all the details at WDW. This includes their signage. Signs at not just for information or to point you in the right direction. They are funny, touching and works of art. When you think about walking around the different parks, resorts and stores at WDW the signs are not the first things to come to mind. They are made to be part of your experience. The posters in Frontierland blend into the old west theme, while the menu boards at Cosmic Rays match the futuristic design of Tomorrowland.
During my recent trips to WDW I have started to photograph some of my favorite ones. From time to time I will share them. My first one is from American Pavilion in Epcot. Every time I see this sign I laugh.

For as many times as I have been to WDW, this summer was the first time I had a quick lunch at the Pinnocchio Village Haus Restaurant in Fantasyland
